Central Park

Joan Blondell, lions, maniacs and charity thieves. That's what this First National (Warner Bros) programmer brings. The crime plot felt silly with a gang trying to fool the police to steal some benefit cash, but it has decent half-comic, half-serious scenarios filling the rest of the hour. Most prominent for me was near-sighted cop Guy Kibbee. Can't help but feel sorry for the good guy. But even with the good Central Park lacks a little in the story to become anything great.
