Tragic country girl story of the European variety. A Polish/French co-production, mostly silent, but with soundtrack and a few lines, like they did during the transition age. Quite good for such a rarity. Felt almost Nordic the way the girl's sad destiny was portrayed, so I appreciated it, even in it's somewhat rough shape.
