Even though it's pretty dated and corny, there's still a few laugh out loud moments here. The (pretty impressive) cast seems to be thoroughly enjoying hamming up the already slapstick script.

Putting aside the fact that yellowface in 1981 is unforgivable, putting aside that the main positive aspect of the originals was giving roles to young Asian actors and this movie has goddamn Richard Hatch-- this is a slapstick movie that sucks at slapstick. Some actors make physical comedy look effortless, but these ones make it look Sisyphean-- or maybe it's just a director that's seen that people falling down, knocking things over, and dropping things can be funny, but has no idea why or how.
