Perfectly shot and well acted, Charlotte Gray is a touching and harrowing look into the occupation of France although rather cynical in parts.

Based on Sebastian Faulks same named war novel. There is so many films of World War II and spy stories. This film brings to my mind brilliant TV-comedy Allo, Allo. Charlotte Gray is like serious version of that TV-series only that woman is on the lead role. And during whole i was waiting that one of older characters will say "It is I, Leclerc"
