Charlotte for Ever

Defiantly one of the most horrible drama films ever made. Putting aside the *fiction* plot, all you get is Serge's distorted concept of art-drama. "Yeh, let's make a movie which in my under-age daughter could show her tiny breasts," he must have thought to himself. Which makes it, undeniably, supreme trash. But overall the film is just plane bad. Bad music, bad acting, bad parenting, bad cinematography. Good Charlotte.

About as sleazy as one could expect a movie by the guy who gave us both "Lemon Incest" and Histoire de Melody Nelson starring his own pubescent daughter to be. That said, one might not guess how relentlessly dreary and maudlin most of this also is, counteracting most of whatever fun camp value there was (aside from a few utterly ridiculous moments that slip by). I do think it's sort of hilarious that Godard allegedly expressed his admiration for this film though.
