If you’re a sceptic going down the faith-based TVM path, you could do worse than this pretty heavy-handed plug for Mormonism – plays its cards surprisingly close to its chest for most of the first act, until an almost comical whack around the head happens at the midpoint when the film’s agenda is revealed. Performed with a reasonable degree of conviction, though Elliott is dead-weight as a leading man, and is even fairly even handed with the “heathen” non-believers, all things considered.

Overly-sentimental and poorly-written. The acting from the lead man is luaghable.
