I like what Netflix is trying to do, but so far, their "originals" have been anything but. This one follows amateur film makers as they struggle to set manual focus when filming dying rocks. We did it folks! We single handedly caused the 6th mass extinction event on this planet, but don't worry: There's a tacked on five-minute obligatory optimistic ending (TM) with smiling children, as to not leave you sad or whatever. Hey, what song did that band play on the Titanic? It's for a google search.

Important but depressing. Competently made, but does follow some storybeats that are too typical for these kind of documentaries. Why do they always end on a positive, optimistic note? Especially when there's not much to be optimistic about when it comes to actions being taken to protect the environment. This has been shown time and time again.

At first I didn't understand why we were seeing certain people show up, or why we were seeing certain things being made, but the documentary puts it all together and it all makes sense in the end with astonishing effect. I am a diver and it made me want to do something, get active and be a part of the solution. I would call that a big success
