There's nothing funny about not using a stupid condom every once in awhile. The herd was actually thinned down from around twenty kids when Steve Martin started showing them the new Pink Panther.

Again Martin thinks he's funny when he's not. The cinema I was in laughed very rarely and some people actually left the cinema mid-movie. Childish comedy attempts were predictable and not funny in the slightest. I think children may enjoy this movie but it's definitely not for the older generations.

Steve Martin knew this wasn't funny, and watching it break his comedy spirit is depressing.

An average family comedy about a family with way too many kids. While the cast does deliver at times the plot lines feel just as hectic with teh family and you never truly learn to fall in love with them.

Strictly family-fare, and another otherwise lame remake and sad success for Steve Martin who's career went from 'The Jerk' and 'Planes Trains and Automobiles' to waste like this and 'Bringing Down the House.'

Wow, I was surprised by this movie. I expected a cutesy by-the-numbers family comedy and I was shocked to find out that this is actually a movie about 12 kids and their parents NONE of whom have any redeemable or likeable qualities. Each character is a selfish jerk and I really wanted each one to recieve some kind of glorious comeuppance. Instead, we get a cop-out let's-all-hug-each-other ending that is extremely unwarranted.

I really like Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. I think there was some good chemistry between the two here but every single one of the kids was obnoxious and unbearable.

A harmless comedy remake but it seems like this is all Steve Martin gets to do nowadays. A surprisingly nice performance by Bonnie Hunt as his wife.

Steve Martin is a guy who is unlucky enough to be left at home for some period of time that I forgot with his twelve kids. Bad slap stick, fart and vomit jokes, and attempts at tugging at the heart strings follow.

Terrible family film. The children are unlikable, the chemistry between Hunt and Martin is hardly believable, and no one learns anything. At the end, it pretty much goes back to the way they were living before the big move. Total waste of time.

The remake of Cheaper By The Dozen is a family movie, but one orientated towards kids. Cue the typical madcap humour, implausible situations and series of large-scale disasters that these kind of films have become synonymous for. It does have its moments, but these are soon cancelled out by yet another band of annoying and idiotic teenagers and child "actors". It's a lost cause really, the attempt to redeem itself by the ending is another poor effort as well. All those kids deserved was a slap.

A good cast cannot save this same plot with the added twist of "More Kids!" Dad is too engrossed in his work, and the family falls apart in a new location. I think Oprah was thrown in there for good measure, but really it isn't worth the time it takes to watch it.

I'm not a family-oriented person at all; perhaps that's why I love the positive family values this movie preaches so much. I think the ensemble cast is perfectly assembled, and the script well-balanced. None of the 12 feels like a spare part. If my kids turned out like this I'd probably have 12 of them. Plus, Steve Martin's comedic persona has always worked well on the big screen. Disney me up!

Cheaper by the Dozen's three main themes are family, family and family. Tom lives by the sacrificial motto: "If I screw up raising my kids nothing I achieve will matter much!" No minister, no parachurch leader, no counselor could say it better! While it's certainly not a perfect film, there's no doubt here that kids are a blessing, not things to be endured or ignored in favor of personal and career goals. (pluggedin.com)

Steve Martin doesn't quite give it his all, but he does come off as charming for the most part. The kids hold up well enough. However the story is to easy going, the ending is a little too on the nose and Tom Welling overdoes the sullen teenager bit.
