Chi wo sû uchû

A pretty good follow up to the completely crazy over the top film Crazy Lips. It's not as crazy nor as balls to the walls out there compared to the first film which ultimately makes it less fun. In fact this one while still full of lunacy plays out more like a spoof of Japanese pop culture and movie tropes.

This is very confusing film. Narrative is presented in flashback that is happening in the flashback of the flashback of another person. Comparing it to the stylistically and thematically similar first part (Crazy Lips), it lacks the effect, the excitement of guerrilla filmmaking. Rules are still defied, but there's no joy in watching that happen.
