Yey! Boobies in 1930s cinema! Oh wait, she's 12.... eh.... yeah. At least it had a story. A daring one at that. Probable not a movie I'll brag to my friends and family about seeing.

Barely worth a watch. The young girl was one of the few actors who seemed even remotely natural. This movie suffers in every aspect. Poor script, lousy acting, and archaic cinematography. I guess that can be expected from a movie from 1938. It turns out to basically be a vehicle to display child nudity, and utterly fails to take advantage of the opportunity to produce a meaningful commentary on child marriage. A weak but cautionary tale about the consequences of evil acts.

Detestable.

Shell Shock is the best way to describe this. If the hillbillies, pedophilia and general sleaziness weren't enough for you there's a midget and a retard thrown in for good measure too.
