Chopping Mall

Points for Barbara Crampton being in it, and for a concept that's so whacky it's sort of fascinating. On paper, it could have been a really fun movie- but in execution, it misses the mark in a very big way. The acting is mediocre, the Killbots are clunky with powers that wildly fluctuate, & most of the comedy doesn't land. What really kills it, though, is the writing, which is outright atrocious at points and includes tons of cringe-inducing dialogue. Sadly, much worse than it could've been,

Really not a very good movie but it has some charm to it. Worth watching if you enjoy the 80's slasher flicks and have nothing left to see.

Some great 80s special effects here. Just an all around good time.

A sometimes effective slasher variant. Splashy FX -- including a memorable exploding noggin for _Re-Animator_ co-star Crampton -- and a terrific supporting cast help a lot.

Very entertaining garbage heap. 30 year olds pretending to be teens who party in the mall furniture store are attacked by the crazed robit security force. You gotta see it how bad it is.
