Christmas in Connecticut

Too many sidequests .The parts that work , work well. Otherwise it's tiresome

Unlikable characters and a stupid unbelievable situation make a disappointing and unentertaining viewing experience.

Good, clean fun. And--mercifully--not too cloying. Stanwyck (mostly) rises above the mediocre material. S.Z. Sakali (Uncle Felix) reminds us what a real character actor is.

Stanwyck almost rescues this one, but it's still pretty lame.

Not a bad way to pass the time if you're in a light mood. It doesn't shove Christmas down your throat, which is nice. I like Barbara Stanwyck in just about anything.

A lesser known Christmas movie that's more about the comedy of errors rather than holiday cheer.

This was a very enjoyable screwball comedy. Barbara Stanwyck was reliably great and it was fun to see here re-team with S.Z. Sakall after the (even better) Ball of Fire.

Warner Bros farce of fake marriages and babies for the sake of public image. High energy. Absurd. But tries a little too hard, which squeezes the laughs some. For me, I enjoyed it for the S.Z. Sakall & Una O'Connor bits. Of course, there's no denying Barbara Stanwyck is the main attraction.
