great performance by Brian Cox however the movie is very 2D, dull and boring

Study of Churchill is a little muddled on its point - the telescoping to a few days of Churchill's years of prognostications means there is an inherent stretch of credibility to the drama, however as a face value study of a stubborn personality adjusting to the 'new world', it is satisfying, but one can't help but wonder why such a rich and fascinating historical story should be somewhat trivialised in this way (see also THE IRON LADY). Outstanding work by Cox and Richardson as the Churchills.

It's good, well acted by all concerned, but it's not an engaging story.

Brian Cox does no wrong but this is flat and historically inaccurate.

Historically not very accurate, so don't try to use it as a source of learning. Aside from that a quite entertaining take on Churchill's character with an excellent performance by Brian Cox. Unfortunately aside from the title character, noone else is really interesting, so the movie definitely has its low points, but I was entertained to the end. Recommended for hard fans of the character and if you have a taste for British drama. Probably not worth your time otherwise.

Strong performances and it shows a vulnerable and flawed side to Churchill that is not usually promoted - but for me it didn't add anything of interest and was actually quite repetitive and dull.

A good example of a movie that simple didn't need to be made. This look at Churchill does little to nothing to contribute to his legacy and was neither interesting nor engaging.
