For a Disney DTV sequel, this... isn't awful. The time-travel plot is fairly interesting, and the outcome isn't necessarily what you'd expect. Not great by any means, but compared to the usual DTV crap Disney puts out, it's quite watchable.

Surprisingly good for one of Disney's churn-em-out sequels. I'd actually recommend it. It's not as good as the classics, but it's decent just the same.

This was the best Cinderella fanfiction ever! Much better than I expected, and in many ways, a subversion of the Cinderella story. A couple of... unfortunate songs, and a voice or two that just doesn't work with the original, but otherwise surprisingly painless.

How did this manage to be the best Disney sequel of them all??

This is actually one of the rare instances where a Disney sequel is actually kind of fun and doesn't destroy the original. The heroine fights actively for her happy ending, the concept/twist is interesting, the characters are believable and have to make decisions and the action is genuinely fun and can even be a little bit too scary for the little ones, if you're watching with kids. Skip Cinderella II and watch this one instead! It's surprisingly good.

The worst thing about these DTV Disney sequels is not the lame story or the incredibly unfunny humor, but the painful songs that seem to get worse as the movie goes on.

Pretty ok to be honest - which probably makes it maybe the best of the straight to video Disney sequels? (I also have a slight soft spot for Return of Jafar.) Doesn’t just redo the original but instead does some second half of Back to the Future 2 time travel alternate take on it. I’m actually not super crazy about the original 1950 Cinderella so idk you could easily argue this equals or betters it.

As everybody who cares to listen knows well, I'm fascinated by time travel stories. This very entertaining tale has a lot more going for it than the flash-sideways nature of the clever premise though, as it has a lot of something that is often so sorely missing in direct-to-video sequels, namely personality.

Let me get this straight, it is OK for Cindy to use magic to appear as more than what she really is and get the prince to fall for her, but it's not for Anastasia?

It annoys me that they pretended that Anastasia's arc in Cinderella 2 doesn't exist, but the movie itself is kind of a slay (for direct-to-DVD sequels made by Disney's standards).
