This is a masterpiece of “phew, at least I’m not them” as I sit here watching while in my comfy robe covered in peanut butter pretzel crumbs.

Gander at the film freaks! Look how nerdy/obssessive they are! It's probably an accurate representation of them, but it still amounts to a big "so what." If you take something to a ridiculous extreme, of course you'll get warped results. The most interesting aspect of the doc was learning what needs acute cinephilia serves for these people. Still, I'm pretty certain they could have found five equally avid cinema-goers who aren't quite so grotesque. But who would watch?

Jeez, what a buncha kooks. All I really got out of this was that these people had an obsession, and there didn't seem to be anything too specifically about movies in that fact. They could've gone off the deep end about anything--films just happened to be their catalyst. It was like watching a bunch of junkies sitting around talking at a halfway house. Only for a few moments--when Jack was talking about movie dreams, for example--did I feel these people had any real love for what they were doing.

It feels a bit too much like a 'come look at the weirdos' carnival sideshow to be truly enjoyable, but then again, it's hard to look away when we see some of these hardcore moviefreaks go about their daily business of watching movies and.. not much else. Really saddening, but good to know that no matter how much I am wasting my life right now, some people have me beat by a large margin.

What a great bunch of characters. The movie is quite entertaining, never gets repetitive, and keeps it short (although the 45 minutes of deleted scenes on the DVD are well worth watching). The low-budget look is the biggest flaw, but makes for a really amusing end credits sequence: a montage of the film's subjects all commenting on the filmmakers' bad decision to shoot on video.

You get to spend nearly ninety minutes with people you wouldn't want to spend five minutes with in real life.

Not a great movie but the subjects of the film who trade their own lived experiences for the ones on the screen has always stuck with me.

An accurate representation of addiction.

A very amusing film. There's something inherently interesting in anyone with any sort of socially crippling obsessions and behavior. All the better when it's a neurotic movie buff.

With a running time of about an hour and 19 minutes it felt way too long. It was way too repetitive and I wish I got to know the people a little more instead of just their interest in movies

These obsessive characters are refreshingly self-aware of their abnormality but we don't get a whole lot of insight into why they are so obsessed.

I'll be on the lookout for these folks at festival screenings from now on.

It's both relieving and disappointing to confront the fact that I'll never reach the heights of rabid cinephilia on display in this documentary. The disappointment is only in that the bar is set at such a ludicrous height, which, frankly, I have no desire to hurdle. These are kinda repulsive people. The film sets a comfortable world for someone like me, but feels so niche that it's pointless (as obsessions proper tend to be).
