City of Ghosts

Feels inappropriate to rate this as a film since the journalistic purpose of it is so strong and relevant. Could be more informative but focuses on convaying the horror and tragedy that the people of Raqqa face and the personal sacrifice and courage of the civilians who challenge daesh in the media war. Urgently does what it needs to do with a steady hand and should be seen by everyone.

Haunting and important, if not that great as a movie. Dives deeper than most of its counterparts.

This is one of those documentaries that cut to the bone and make it difficult to rate. This is shit that is still going on, this is horrific. It could have maybe gone into more detail about everything, but then the purpose was to show RBSS, what they are doing, what is going on in Syria, what ISIS is doing... so the history of what brought this menace into existence is not what matters. It gets the point across. There are better edited/filmed docs, but rarely are they this important.
