It takes all expected turns. There are dozens of coming of age films that seems just like it; also, the film try, at times, to ideolize this thing that, to me, it's just horrible parenting. It's fun and well made, but you know, whatever.

"Benjamín Ávila structures the film as a series of precious moments, remembrances of a difficult year when the politics of patria and family got in the way of his puppy love." - Ed Gonzalez

It is a piece of Argentine history. The acting is spectacular and the story, sadly, a story too common in the year 1979 in that country.
