Clash of the Empires

A painfully bad film from The Asylum (then again, don't they all hurt?). The "Hobbits" in this one aren't Tolkienesque but rather prehistoric little people enslaved by bestial "Rock Men." One family of these poorly dubbed "Hobbits" manages to escape, and they enlist the aid of homo sapiens to save the rest of their people. Christopher Judge and Bai Ling make for believable action stars, but the writing, action, and villains are all dreadful. The ending is also insufferably long.

The Asylum presents: Age of the Hobbits. At the production value of an Ethiopian student film, they put enough work into their digital dragon to make him look real, but not enough work into their photography to make a guy tripping over a net look real! Good job Asylum!
