Class of 1984

Though it really shouldn't for various reasons, this works thanks to the sheer over-the-top ridiculousness that plays out from start to finish. Featuring some genuinely solid performances, effective atmosphere & plenty of highly entertaining batshit crazy moments, it's a total B-movie that succeeds largely because it knows exactly what it is. Young Michael J. Fox is fun to see. The characters aren't all that deep & the story is pretty rough, but it's an enjoyable ride all-around.
