Yeah, it's Cockneys V's Zombies innit bruv! Honestly I spend quite a bit of time up West Ham and I thought this was just a documentary for the first hour! Seriously though; could have been fun, but is shit.

Middle Lipped - Average script. Dulled Crown - Desaturated and brown. Bloody Collects - Gore made in After Effects. Cup of the usual tea - Plot rips off Ali G. Alan Ford - Looks bored.

Honestly dunno why this gets such an overall bad rap. Of the funny silly side of the zombie genre & not to be taken as a serious zombie film (watch Train to Busan) for a second. Often laugh out loud funny & has, IMHO, one of the funniest chase sequences I have ever seen framed in a movie (pun intended). Watched with wife & teenage daughter, all thought it was a crackup. For reference found Shawn of the Dead pretty much overrated & that Zombieland ruined a good start with overemotional twaddle.

Unfunny. Unscary. Unwatchable.

Its an interesting concept which could/should have been funnier. This movie definitely has its laughs though with the usual Lock Stock style of comedy. The highlight of the film is every scene with Alan Ford and his supporting cast of pensioners. If the movie was focussed around this group we would be in for a more entertaining watch. The visual effects and make up looks incredibly low budget compared to what's been achieved in Shaun of the Dead or the Walking Dead.

If this was "Pensioners vs Zombies" or, even better, "Brick Top vs Zombies", this might have been good. Alas, we're left with this bland husk to not entertain us instead.

Nice twist on the norm of a zombie flick. Good start but goes downhill from there on.

A tragic tale of a kind-hearted criminal who can't do criminal things--criminal things he was going to do to save his criminal grandfather--because some Abercrombies force him to take a detour to save his criminal grandfather. Oh, and they're all Cockneys or summat, innit.

Loved the idea and people, but it was overall a b list low budget film youd watch drunk as background sound

You could probably argue that the Cockneys were fighting Cockneys. I wouldn't. But you could.

I've learned that i can love zombie films again if i only dip into the oversaturated genre in strict moderation, and this film is a perfect example. It's super average and if i was watching a zombie film every other week or so id totally have gotten bored with it. However, as my zombie viewing for the month it was satisfying. The story sucks but the moments with the geriatrics are great and the moment where a shuffling old man with a walker escapes a horde is a very special hilarious moment

Not exactly the "Brick Top of the dead" that I'd expected but is does have a few well though out gags.

As a poor man's Guy Ritchie's Shaun of the Dead this could have been so much better. But it's let down on almost every level - reused gags, bad timing, bad special effects, constant poorly chosen music blaring... there's an art to making zombie comedies, and CvZ is just too tonedeaf and too in love with its one-joke title to rise above mildly amusing.
