Zany Liam Neeson accidental Yojimbo in Fargo movie. I’ve never been more on the edge of my seat then when Liam was alone in a room with a black guy.

Some light humor, but a lot of unlikely situations.

This one was poorly represented in the advertisements, it's not just another installment in the Action Neeson constellation. It's better thought of as a Kaurismaki, Noir hybrid with a sense of humor. Regardless of how you classify it, don't dismiss it offhandedly, this is quite an entertaining and fresh outing for Neeson. Someone aught to give his agent a bucket of fried chicken or, more appropriately, some lutefisk.

So, my buddy and I went expecting something along the lines of 'Taken on Ice'. How wrong we were. We both have the tendency to laugh at what others may deem inappropriate times, so the first couple of times we chuckled, we assumed that was the case. However, it started to dawn on us that the laughs were intentional and we had stumbled into a dark comedy - a genre I truly enjoy. I'm not going to tell you it was a great movie, but I was pleasantly surprised and entertained.

slow revenge flick with action that occasionally shocks but has no real setpieces or lasting impact. But I know the movie hit its tone right -- a very dark, somber comedy with Liam's incredible deadpan delivery fueling it. It's tremendous fun while you're in it, but lacks anything to give it staying power and slowly fades from mind afterwards. I definitely recommend watching it, but I doubt you'll find a need to see it twice

It became obvious early on that this didn't really take itself that seriously. It played with expectations a bit, had a lot more humour than expected. This sounds like a backhanded compliment but its willingness to be racist on all fronts was endearing because it just wasn't afraid of anything. I mean, it was bad people saying the bad things (and some things were played for laughs), but in this climate that is more brave than it ought to be. I had a really good time here.

Kidnapped 10-year-old to his captor: "Have you heard of Stockholm Syndrome?" I love my comedy deadpan and black...this scores big on both counts. I was hoping for a bit more imagination when it came to the manner of the executions, but the last couple made up for some of the others. 2nd movement of Beethoven's "Emperor" concerto in the soundtrack was a pleasant surprise...not to mention Aqua's "Barbie Girl".

At a lot of points this is actually a weirdly strong pitch-black violent comedy; not at all what I expected going in. A lot of clever moments and the villain is hilariously cheesy and awesome. I think Neeson was a miscast though simply because we’ve seen him do this old man action/revenge thing like twenty times now.

Pretty much a shot-for-shot remake of "In Order of Disappearance" relocated to Colorado. There are a few additions toward the end, which are pretty awful if loyal to the derpy humor of the source. I'm not entirely sure which version has the edge. This one is better-produced, but gets more tiresome.

Make no mistake, Cold Pursuit is a black comedy disguised as a thriller and it's just as ridiculous as you'd hope from a Liam Neeson film where his character is a snowplow driver

It was my children's choice, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was ok.

I really enjoyed this one. Not many times since Pulp Fiction have I seen a crime drama perfectly combined with comedic moments, action, violence and a unique ensemble cast, and in such an entertaining way. Well done!

I feel so sorry for Laura Dern because she's a part of this crap. And for you dear Liam Neeson, I know you're old but can you stop making the same movies over and over again? Only the place and his children change by the movie. The one point I gave is to the brave humor of Hans Petter Moland.

I feel like a movie does something at least a little bit interesting when my reaction upon leaving is, "...what is this movie?!?!" I can't say I blame you if you're watching along and thinking to yourself, "none of this makes sense and this is a bad movie". Luckily, most of the audience will probably hit the point where they realize that this is, basically, a spoof of a Liam Neeson movie, starring Liam Neeson, and that's what I kinda love about it. Who knew there was a seedy underbelly in Kehoe?

In Bruges. But this time, it's in Colorado. And much much better. Liam Neeson is some country's national treasure. Listening to him read about snow plows is more dramatic than any 10 Avenger flicks. I doubt this score'll hold up on rewatches, but for now...awesome.

Very fresh and unique film. Definitely worth a watch.

Starts as Taken, then takes a Coen brothers turn and ends in hilarious mayhem. Overall not perfect, but an enjoyable romp with a good Liam Neeson.

This is a weird movie. Looking at the trailers for this movie, you get the whole "oh yeah, this is a Liam Neeson movie" vibe, but once you actually watch it, it's definitely stands out. This film provides a lot more dark humor, kinda playing on "dark comedy" feel with really brutal and entertaining action sequences, sometimes even pushing it a bit as serious. It sometimes really works, other times you can't figure out what the film wants to be. I give it points for being different.

"Superior" revenge flick that relies mostly on irony and forgets to actually tell a decent story. Like the worst Coens' ripoff you could think of.

Exactly the same rating to the original. Good movie but a little slow after an hour and takes a little to start moving again.

Weird, all over the place and slow but also oddly entertaining and well acted.

A very suspenseful story that completely fell apart at the end. Lots of wasted star power. It devolved into one of the stupidest endings I have ever seen. Worse than the non-endings that have become so popular these days. It was a non-sequitur ending that fails entirely to be credible or believable. Probably this was gutted in editing because it is hard to believe that anyone would have written this ending on purpose. Overall it was not bad, until the shamefully stupid finale.

good movie

I was expecting another taken/revenge clone but this goes into quite a different direction and style. I enjoyed it, good Sunday afternoon fodder.

Interesting premise, good delivery, but just a wee bit uninspired. It felt like Liam Neeson was playing the same part that made him a household name (taken), but several years later, when the spy-lifestyle sucked all the life out of him... It felt tired and needlessly violent.

Liam Neeson was the only good actor in the whole movie. The story was so bland and their use of Denver was terrible since it was so inaccurate. Like every shot where they drove into Denver on some highway, it just doesn't look like that at all.

Doesn't take itself seriously, and nor do I.

This movie is about revenge but it contains some surprises. The script is all over the place at times, sometimes in good ways. There is some dark humour in the movie. Overall I would recommend this film.

1745: weired!

Makes even less sense than the usual Neeson vehicle, and I don't know that their amped-up po-faced high-concepts are any worse than what passes for humour and colour in this one. The villain is particularly unbearable. FARGO this ain't. Well, maybe FARGO the show. (It sucks, guys.)
