An entertaining little Christmas film, charming without being cloying. Young and Holm are pretty and cute, and Elsa Lanchester and Thomas Gomez are good in support.

Two French nuns (Loretta Young and Celeste Holm) come to New England, intending to build a children's hospital on a picturesque hilltop. They face various obstacles, but everything turns out all right in the end. Gentle to a fault, this light comedy has its moments, and it's made with the customary Hollywood polish, but it's too lightweight to be especially memorable. A too-brief appearance by Thomas Gomez as a sympathetic racketeer and Dooley Wilson's support are the best parts of it.
