For some reason Universal Pictures used their one-year contract with John Wayne to remake a couple of old Reginald Denny silent films. Conflict (1936) is a updated version of boxing movie Abysmal Brute (1923), and features the highlight of Wayne fighting Ward Bond. It's an alright B-film where Wayne's athletic look played well into the action.
