Consenting Adults

It's a clever adult thriller but, frankly, I'm deducting six points for the overbearing consent.

A wife swapping movie that rests on the idea of two very not-consenting adults. This ends with Kevin Spacey with a machine gun, so that should be enticing to watch.

Mostly forgettable, but one scene in particular is masterfully haunting. Kevin Kline enters his neighbor's house, majestically designed with a bombastically regal staircase and blood-red walls that accentuate his unrestrained lust as he ascends to make love to the Rokeby Venus in the bedroom. It's erotic, but moreover it's simply hypnotic. There's a slow zoom-out at the end of the scene that is just perfect. The climax is also somewhat suspenseful. I've seen worse.

Lacklustre, uninspired, poor.

An otherwise well-made thriller that throws logic right to the winds. Bizarre, and not in a good way

Erotik gerilim filmi olarak izlenir. Fakat filmin sonlarında kötü adamın kolay ölmesi, konuyu aşağıya çekti. Yönetmen, zaten zenginlere karşı kötümser. Mary Elizabeth Mastantonio diyorum başka bir şey demiyorum.

Not very original and completely predictable and by the books. The first 30 minutes are pretty good (aside from the lack of chemistry between Kline and Miller), but after the dead body turns up it all goes downhill. Plotholes, no suspense, and nothing the characters do makes any sense (including agreeing to that creepy arrangement in the first place). Spacey and Kline are both good and had good chemistry with each other, but they're pretty much the only thing that makes the film worth watching.

A douchebag version of Hitchcock with some unbelievable stupid plot holes. Still, I was entertained and Kevin Kline is pretty good.
