Police Detective Burns is helping Jerry Wheeler, a night-club singer, track down the killer of a gold-digger, for which crime her brother, "Chick," has been sentenced to die in the electric chair. She finds evidence that convinces her that Milton Militis, owner of a nightclub, is the killer. A B-crime flick with one good reason to watch. Rita Hayworth! Early in her career, but she's made the transition from dancer to actress quite well by this point. She's not the perfect Rita Hayworth yet, but she's getting there. Here she goes after the gangsters that set her brother up for murder with good help from her local police detective Charles Quigley. Standard plot, direct and little wasting of time. Just what's needed for such vehicles.
