Cool Dog

Not content to simply being a metaphor for Christ, the film Cool Dog mimics Christianity's spread and prosecution by the Romans, up to and past Jesus/Cool Dog's miraculous resurrection. Along his way, he meets a band of hobos/apostles, aids the poor and needy, and selflessly saves those in trouble while being chased for his beliefs. A very spiritual film.

That sure is one cool dog.

I liked this film, the more outrageous moments weren't signposted or treated a major showpiece of the film, they just happened, and although the kid was annoying, what kid isn't ? The evil landlords were just transparent cartoon characters but they did their job. Does Rainey the German Shepherd live up to the title of Cool Dog? Yes. Easily. Without question, he is the coolest dog.
