Cop and a Half

I don't think it's that bad. Obviously they were using cheesy lines on purpose and if you can't see that then you're just retarded. The common humor throughout the movie was good. I more or less liked the fact that there wasn't any suspense. Suspense in any kind of movie is just annoying.

Some of the cheesiest dialogue ever written. "I'm your worst nightmare: an eight-year-old with a badge." See? This movie scores some points just cause Burt Reynolds walks around like he wants to kill everyone the entire movie. I guess I would be pissed if I made as many bad career moves as Reynolds, though. I mean this guy turned down playing John McClane, Han Solo and fired his agent after he saw Boogie Nights. This guy is an idiot.

Burt Reynolds' triumphant comeback...To obscurity

I know that nobody born post-1995 would ever see this, or even hear of it. I just hope that two hundred years from now this is not the example of 90's cinema.

Liked it when I was a kid and Burt Reynolds is in it so it can't be all bad

It's a terrible movie. It may be about a little kid, but there's actually very little that is cute or charming about it. Burt Reynolds acts like he wants to strangle everyone throughout the whole film.

The little kid is surprisingly good. Burt Reynolds is fine, although he doesn't do his laugh here. It's not a great movie by any means whatsoever, but compared to most family movies with an adult teaching a kid about things, this is less offensive than most all of them.

If this site had been around when I was 7, this movie would have gotten 100, along with Space Jam, The Little Rascals and Dennis the Menace.
