Cossacks of the Kuban

Galina Ermolaevna, the director of an exemplary kolkhoz, has been a widow for seven years. She is courted by Gordej Voron, the director of a rival kolkhoz. They meet at the regional fair, full of an incredible array of products on sale from the best kolkhozes. Galina lowers her prices, and Gordej is forced to do the same.
