Un Remake qui n'en est pas vraiment un, plutôt un hommage de qualité avec un Romain Duris qui porte une belle chemise et gueule comme un taré, ça lui va très bien et les autres aussi :! n bon moment de rigolade sauf ce Zidi, chouchou de la presse, insignifiant ici.

It had its moments but it will remain a pale imitation.

Had a very good time in front of it even though I was very confused during the first 30 min.

This is good, but watch the original Japanese version first, and either way, try your best to learn nothing (or as little as possible) about the story in advance.

Unfortunately, I do not see a good reason for this to have been remade. There were a very few points where it introduced something new and funny, but there were way more things that were removed from the original that could have stayed/been improved. So overall, it was a minus.

Difficult to write much about it without spoiling either this film or One Cut of the Dead, which it is a remake of. The filming location, lighting and post FX made it feel more like a traditional Western zombie movie, which is fitting, but I thought the dark scenes combined with the many fast camera sweeps removed the "one cut" feeling. The added scenes were good, the problem was more that they missed a lot of the good stuff. Watch One Cut of the Dead instead, and maybe come back for this later!

Despite its flaws, “Final Cut” is a hilarious and entertaining film that showcases the power of storytelling to different audiences. While it may not be for everyone, it has plenty of life within it and is worth a watch.

It's such a fantastic concept, that even a pointless remake works well, if it's performed in sincerity. The charisma of the cast, and the much more professional direction of Hazanavicius, elevates this from the horde of mediocre remakes of superior films.
