When you have a hypothesis, but come to find that all of the experts and legitimate authorities in the field disagree with you, the correct conclusion isn't that there's some kind of Cowspiracy going on. The correct conclusion is that your hypothesis is likely to be false. Even if you can't bring yourself to abandon it, you should at least be very careful before making a documentary assuming that you're right. You might just make yourself look like an idiot or a raving loon.

As a documentary it's pretty good. A bit one sided on some things (e.g. the palm oil issue, there's a lot more problems than just land decrease so it's a bad comparison), but it's also quite honest. Therefore I recommend anyone to watch this, it has a very important and truthful message. Highly controversial, but only because it's showing the truth. Don't blindly believe everything being said here, but you'll find most of it is true. Hopefully it inspires people to truly live more sustainable.

Premise:"Animal Husbandry is the most significant (health &) climate issue." Conclusion: everyone should be Vegan. All this is presented in an entirely uninteresting and unconvincing way. The amounts of rambling, meaningless exposition, and impotent testimony should have been cut and the main idea turned into a 5 minute ad on Youtube. Unless you need something to lull you to sleep or annoy your date read my first 2 sentences then skip it. The premise is fairly sound.

Very misleading film. They conveniently left out tons of relevant info in order to make their MO seem more credible. The graphics and comparisons they use are deceptive. Then they take the angle of being persecuted by outright LYING. Count the fallacies and nonsequiturs in this film; the amount of sophistry is staggering. There was a lot more that was worth discussing, but I can't fit it into this review. My advice is to do the research yourself and avoid this intellectually dishonest garbage.

This documentary is really provocative, as it clearly points out that many mainstream environmental action groups 'sugar coat' eco-issues and actively avoid one of the central systemic causes of climate change, namely animal agri-business. The new 'must watch and share'.

Not particularly great - like most environmental documentaries, I'm afraid - but incredibly, incredibly important. Watch, watch, watch. One big plus though is that this film isn't making the people culpable, who we already knew are bastards - it's pointing the finger at those we thought were supposed to fight for the good cause. Simple, yet unavoidable.

Should be seen by everyone. It's absolutely true, you can't call yourself an environmentalist yet eat factory-farmed animals, (I'm looking at you Greenpeace 😡).

Who will work the field with his hands? Who will put his back to the plow? Who'll take the mountain and give it to the sea? Don't look now, it ain't you or me.

It was very watchable, but I'm penalizing this for outrageous, exagarrated claims. You will find plenty debunking material about this documentary on internet. I need my documentaries without prejudice.

I am glad to see someone calling out environmentalists and society as a whole for ignoring this issue. The film has a nice quality and neatness to it. I felt as though the lack of confidence of the filmmaker ended up detracting from it as well as the sort of "going through the motions" feel it had to it. It stuck to topic effectively and I was relieved it did not take on too much. It was a well-done piece.

I find this film's style intensely irritating: I don't care what the filmmaker calls his van, I don't want to see him hassling receptionists or saving chickens for entertainment - and the direction is terrible! However, whether the stats are correct or not, the overall message absolutely is.

This goes into dreary and dark places to spread the message of animal abuse and explain the excruciatingly slow pace of political change. It was a slog at times to get through. I appreciate the message, but this movies offers only a small piece of the message, and was difficult to enjoy. I do recommend it, but only in concert with some of the other much better documentaries about plant based diets and health.

Cattle is not terribly sustainable or environment-friendly, but we need to have a more honest and science-based discussion of environmental issues than the bullshitry of "vegan Alex Jones", Kip Anderson. His interviewees propagate myths based on cherry-picked and confirmation-biased data at best, and I often see these claims repeated uncritically by kind vegan souls who really want them to be true. Just come out and say you want mercy for farm animals. You don't have to coat it with lies.

Great message, not amazing filming and the 'main character' of the filmmaker is sort of an annoying guy. Must watch if you eat animal products.
