Joe himself isn't a particularly interesting character and the film just seems sort of pointless. There were a few touching moments, but they were severely overshadowed by the music telling me how touching they were. You can safely skip it

While capturing human moments is an admirable enough goal, I can't help but think it would have been a lot more interesting with a lot more interesting subject. Joe is nice enough, but fairly uninteresting. I like to spice this up by thinking they just didn't show him blowing all the men that helped him. This method works for most films FYI.

Though it is amateuristic--incredibly so at some points--Craigslist Joe is more about the heart than the technical. Garner sets off on a journey via Craigslist and films his encounters, utilizing the very same technology that seems to be isolating society, as he claims. It was definitely an enjoyable documentary, but there are flaws. Some of the characters met aren't interesting, and there is no style to be observed in the camerawork. Nevertheless, this was an impressive debut for Garner.

A rewarding watch, down to earth and very pleasant.
