A movie with some thrills and a possibly fun premise, that unfortunately gets lost in the sauce, it just feels very 40’s, for better or worse.

Warner Baxter extending his lead career with a the Crime Doctor (1943) series. The first one we learn of his past and how he found his new path. Semi-interesting amnesia story at first, but with a very anti-climatic conclusion. Weak confrontation and one of the worst court speeches I've head. They certainly could have used better direction, for decisions here could easily have sunk the entire film series before it got started. But thankfully for Baxter he was allowed to continue the role.
