Criminals Within

Eric Linden was the sole savior of this cheap espionage drama. Once a half-popular juvenile actor, his stock had fallen a lot as the 1930s drove on and this 1941 film ended up being his last. Unfortunate. He had grown on me. His style can be described as a weakling James Cagney, and he even played his little brother once. My favorite performance of his was in Young Bride (1932). Anyway, the rest of this mess manages to be both dull and confusing, only coming to life when Linden was on.
