Crisis

This should be really interesting, and I give it a mild recommendation, but it fails in a lot of ways. I mean, Oldman's arc is the most intriguing and if the movie was basically just him I think it would be better. Aside from that, it's basically just generic. Although there are some parts in snowy Canada which are cool because snow makes for good atmosphere in how it instantly isolates characters and exaggerates things due to the blankness of it. Snow is the hero here.

Starts a bit dull, but by the end I was fully invested in Oldman’s storyline. The primary issue is the film is too unfocused. Aside from Oldman, we have Lilly and Hammer’s stories as well, and they don’t connect enough to feel necessary. One could easily edit this film to just contain Oldman, and it’d still make perfect sense, while probably being a far more engaging film. It’s probably better to just watch Traffic, but this is a fine watch if it’s free.
