The film is weirdly well shot and edited, yet everything else is laughable non-sense. The dialog is written by someone who views right-wingers as a cartoonish boogeyman and the protagonist is made out to be the most laughably pathetic person as a result of this, which makes the implication this film tries to drive difficult to take seriously. The film makes up a lot of contrived non-sense that aren't the least bit believable, and its attempts at symbolism comes across as daft and ham-fisted.

Another tragic story about an immature psycho who is seduced by online hate groups and taken advantage of by a small-time porn producer. His impaired mother does little more than contribute to his disorder. As his condition goes unchecked it festers into a desperate violent spree. Though painful to watch, it was somewhat intriguing but almost entirely predictable. It opens a small window into the mind of a killer but offers nothing about how such tragedies might be avoided.

It's easy to portray people as caricatures. It's difficult to make a good non-comedic movie with that approach.
