Cunningham

Emphasises that Cunningham's idea was to utilise each dancer based on their singular strengths and weaknesses, but little is learned about the choreographer's life or even about the history of his company, let alone any discernible themes. Perhaps there really isn't much else to say about what are simply experiments in movement. Some of the staging is very pretty, but this viewer struggles to appreciate Cunningham's notion of modern dance, compared, for example, with Graham's. Watched in 2D.
