Cyclone

The version I watched was 2 hours long which was much too long for this film. Aside from the length, the terrible acting and annoyingly repetitive score kept my enjoyment to a minimum.

My expectations were low after "Bermuda Triangle", but luckily this is better: first part is a standard disaster film which then turns into a a survival drama with the survivors aboard a boat. It gets more shocking elements as they run out of food and the sharks show up. The sluggish tempo suits the film quite well. The cast is a combination of elderly U.S. stars and familiar faces from Mexican cinema. The characters don't have too much depth, but provide enough drama to maintain your interest.
