Way, way better than I thought it’d be. This isn’t another obnoxious talking animal movie squarely aimed at children. Some of the humor is legitimately clever and self-aware, and there’s actual effort put in to this script despite the premise being pretty by-the-numbers. The voice work was all great and the animation was pretty pristine as well. I almost cried twice… I’m still processing this… Anyway, this was better than half of what DC releases anymore. Emotional, funny, self-aware fun!

It can coast a little bit because it's about animals, and that lends it some emotional oomph by default. But it's actually got a good script and earns it, with some hilarious bits too. For example, the broodiness of Batman is done to death but him relating to the dog about their pasts was actually great. But it's an intelligent script all around with a talented cast and some fun action. The plot is nothing original but it's done well.

A stacked cast does not a good film make, especially when the film is animated. Hart & Johnson's back-&-forth has gotten stale. Maron is a poor Lex. The rest are decent but unremarkable. League of Super-Pets does have some funny lines, though accompanied by plenty of filler. The plot is a little dull, as if set-up for sequels & spin-offs. Ultimately it's a colourful kids' movie with cute anthropomorphised animal, even if it lacks complexity or depth, and the only takeaway is friendship is good.

This one might appeal more to the animals lovers, but it certainly entertained this dog owner more than I expected. Despite the voice acting and animation being nothing special, the plight of these furry heroes is engaging, funny and even touching at regular intervals.

At the core is a family film which has lessons about acceptance and friendship. The cast is phenomenal and it works really well as a childrens adventure and a day out for the parents. Hart and Johnson deliver their signature styles and it in a movie about superpets it works exceptionally well.

A breezy superhero movie for the intended superhero audience: children.

The Super-Secret Life of Pets. Better than fine, worse than good. Above average for a family film, average for a film film.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a non-Pixar animated film. Some cheap laughs and an over-reliance on big names. Is this the same plot as Secret Life of Pets? At least there weren't too many needle drops. Is it me or is the art style terrible/generic, like 2010s TV show quality? Fav scene: guinea pig with the rainbow power.

A family friend fun movie. I am not into superhero movies but this looked so cute I just had to give it a try. My husband enjoyed it as well.

Extremely basic even for a children's film. Many cheap jokes that were almost all unrelated to the situation at hand. The best jokes were the ones that actually fitted into the story nicely instead of interrupting the flow, which made them even more funny.

It takes a very formulaic structure so in itself it may not be a movie that will be long remembered, but somehow I expect that its sequel (if it happens) will be better than this origin story.

I don't like the story, animation style, or cast, but it does perform what it is well enough for those under 10.

It's true it's no Lion King, but in a world in which everyone is looking for their place, it's not a half bad movie either.

Pretty amusing. Lots of “lol animals are animals” humor, but as a lifelong pet owner I can’t help but kinda laugh at that sort of stuff. Saw the heartstrings tugging bits coming a mile away, but still worked because sad animals = le tears

It’s always a shame when B plot sidekicks prove to be the most interesting part of the story. I’m having a feeling if this was a Keith and Mark solo (with their origin stories and change from evil to good), this could’ve been a riot. Lulu had one good quip (“I’m not a monster”) which was the only thing aside from Keith/Mark escapades that I chuckled at. There’s some adult humor sprinkled here and there but this is still definitely a kids movie.

It's ok and 5yo will enjoy it,slightly amusing that the version of superman honours the '78 Reeves in visuals and musical cues, and the Batman has an Animated series car and Elfman cues

Finally, got around to watching this to coincidence with Black Adam. Then, shortly after, went to a late screening of Terrifier 2. Weirdest double feature ever.

“DC League Of Super-Pets” may entertain younger audiences but is unlikely to satisfy older viewers. Despite the lively voice performances, the film fails to deliver in most other areas.

This was perfectly serviceable family film. The animation looks good, but the plot is very basic and the songs could have been selected by A.I. It's biggest achievement is that it's a good way to introduce superheroes to a 5 year old as the DC & Marvel live-action films are still a bit too much for that age. And it didn't need 150mins+ to tell the same story.

I was hyped when I first learned this would be a thing. Then skeptical when we first saw footage. Then down on it when we saw more. Ultimately, though, while it might not be what I wanted out of the concept, it still ended up being pretty good.

Am I crazy or is this a fresh, fun DC flick? There is emotional heft, a spectrum of jokes, lessons to learn, fears to conquer, and pets to love. The stacked cast delivers.
