Damini - Lightning

Let's get the bad stuff out of the way. The final third is pretty lackluster, though influential. It really brings down the impact of the movie by sidelining our heroine for courtroom melodramatics. The middle hour, however, is exceptional: an early nineties anti-bourgeois feminist tour de force made that much more stunning by some excellent scene setups and a "thunderous" performance by Meenakshi Sheshadri.

Sunny Deol does great in his relatively smaller role in this movie.. "Tarikh pe tarikh" dialogue was one of a kind.
