Here is one way of doing a talkie. Dubbing! Guess this technique gave them freedom to focus on the filming and add the audio later. Dance Hall is a simple and naive romance story about a sap, Arthur Lake, being in love with his dance parter Olive Borden. But she doesn't realize and starts dating a playboy. Lake does his sissy boy act well and is the main reason to enjoy this. But had this movie been made any other era then the early days of sound pictures, I doubt many would care about this.
