My first Otto Preminger film. This was before he became a full-time movie director, but he seems to know what he's doing already. This is a screwy screwball comedy. Whenever Jack Haley is the normal one you know the rest are crazy. And they picked a wonderful comic cast! Mary Boland, Edward Everett Horton, Walter Catlett and a bunch more. Real nutty family. Plenty of little laughs. But for some reason the big ones was left out, which is a shame because this deserved to feel more fulfilling.
