Danger Within

This British prison camp thriller falls between "Stalag 17" and "The Great Escape" chronologically, which is fitting because it feels like a blend of the two. It's mostly a procedural like the latter, but the mystery surrounding the informant feels pulled from the former. This film has an amazing cast ... Richard Todd, Richard Attenborough, Dennis Price ... but it's really a bit of a tough slog until it gets to the actual escape attempt.

A very similar plot to Stalag 17, only not as funny, not as suspenseful and not as well-structured. It starts off as a kind of whodunit as the inmates try to identify the mole, but the reveal is made far too early and all the mystery just peters out after that. Some funny moments involving the supporting cast, but otherwise fairly average.
