A fun little mystery/thriller, though not really noir. I don't find Jeanne Crain very interesting (a bit too squeaky-clean Donna Reed-ish for me) but she handles the role well enough. Likewise, Michael Rennie doesn't do a whole lot for me as the sympathetic ship's doctor, but he gets the job done. That's basically how I'd describe the movie as a whole: it gets the job done. It didn't knock my socks off, probably not gonna watch it again, but I did really enjoy it.

Pretty nifty little thriller. Of course, it's likely inevitable in these kinds of things that the premise will prove more intriguing than the payoff; also, one line on the movie's poster virtually gives it away!

Fun gaslighting noir on a ship. None of the performances are great, but they're good enough to carry a pretty tight script.

Quite effective B-mystery (not really a Film Noir IMO even if it was released in Fox Noir series) in the vein of Lady Vanishes which is able overcome most of it's limitations even though you know where it's all heading from the beginning. The cruise ship location adds intrigue and atmosphere; e.g. fog and fog horns are used very effectively. Like often in these films, some of the actions of the protagonist are driving you crazy (no pun intended), but it's still not a bad way to spend 75 mins.

A decent variation of "The Lady Vanishes". The acting was a bit over the top and I'm not sure if the villains could've pulled such an elaborate scheme.

Absolutely loved this one. I think Frantic may have been a loose remake. Excellent crime thriller.
