Dangerous Lady (1941)
Private detective 'Duke' Martindale and his wife, Phyllis, an attorney, are working together to clear a girl falsely convicted of murdering a judge. Two people who know the truth are killed and 'Duke' Is shot at. Despite some interference by Police-Sergeant Brent, and a dangerous automobile chase and 'Duke' and Phyllis finding themselves prisoners of the real murderers, the case is solved. (imdb)

A lousy Thin Man rip-off! But even a lousy rip-off of that movie series is better than 95% of the other films Producers Releasing Corporation was making in 1941. Neil Hamilton made for a more mellow detective along with a less snappy June Storey as the wife. Perfectly serviceable if you like these kinds of comic crime films, but go in with as little expectations as you possibly can if you dare venture low budget like this.
