Daniel - Der Zauberer

I understand that this movie is about being yourself, being different and staying positive despite the hatred fostered towards you, but man it really sucks donkey assholes. A lot of it consists of concert footage of the largely torturous music of Lana Kaiser (then known as Daniel Küblböck), and the rest is a horribly acted, horribly shot, horribly written story about the worst murder plot ever, a horn-wielding ghost, fingering cakes, monumentally faulty guns and the power of Christ or something.

Craptastic, but oddly entertaining.

I got some serious Black Metal vibes from the shots in the snow. In other parts the look reminded me of "Baise-moi". But "Daniel der Zauberer" isn't a Norwegian BM video and it isn't a rape and revenge movie. What it is is hard to describe and after just a couple of minutes after the movie ended, I can't yet wrap my head around it. The world is indeed a colorful place.

I don't speak german. There are no subtitles.
