At times, its depiction of hell is visually stunning, but the paper-thin plot consistently muddles any sense of awe one gets from the scenery.

Very weird. Story is a little hard to follow and the character design changes in every circle is very annoying. But overall quite alright.

That they tried to make a modern morality tale with medieval Catholicism stapled on is baffling enough; that they leaned into it, with "the Crusades were evil" *and* "unbaptized babies go to hell" is worse; but having our protagonist *fight* demonic babies while trying to be Serious and Dark is absolutely hilarious. Plus, it's so badly made; seven animation styles, all but one or two ugly, not for aesthetics, but because they contracted several studios to get it done quick. Gloriously terrible.

Dante's Inferno is a companion piece to the EA video game of the same name. Dante enters hell to save his love Beatrice. He is guided by Virgil the writer of the Illiad. Some of the animation is well done but it is a bit jarring to be continually switching art styles. It worked with the story but aesthetically I wasn't a fan of it. Some of the scenes were pretty cool and they did a good job of animating the story of the video game, but towards the end I started to ask myself "Why?"

It's kind of neat. Not perfect, but different. Not bad for something based off a video game, even if the game was heavily based off the poem to begin with. The really flawed hero unraveling his sins was interesting. Some of the art styles were less appealing however, making parts of it instantly less palatable.

I actually really like how they re-interpreted the classic poem for the modern generation. The story itself is quite deep, although the movie is uneven and the changing visual styles work against it (unlike Animatrix which used the same method). Some of the dialogue is awkward, Dante is not a very likeable hero and the action is a bit disappointing, but for some reason, I still liked the movie and I think there were some very powerful moments.

Gerek konusu, gerek kurgusu, gerek çizimleriyle gelmiş geçmiş izlediğim en iyi animasyonlardan biri. Not etmek lazım mutlaka izlenmeli!.. Sanat eseri.

If you like the video game this flick is a must see. Dante's Inferno is ultra brutal, very dark and full of gore.
