Overlong and overbrutal. Instead of unpacking the societal circumstances around a concentration camp NOT run by Nazis, it revels in cheap theatrics. The villains are almost simplistically barbaric, and while the film does (and should) show atrocities committed, it's done in a way that at least borders - and crosses into, for me - a visual gratification normally seen in horror films. With this narrative and history, I disagree on principle.
