Wait... where are Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz?

I like how it used almost no dialogue but then at the end Pixar decides to tell you everything they just showed you in dialogue. I realize it's a kids movie but it doesn't have to be so pandering to the morons. Or maybe this just sucked so much cause Toy Story 3 was superior in every way. Either way, one of Pixar's rare misfires.

Screw you guys. My favorite Pixar short. It is outright theft that it was not awarded with an Oscar.

Pixar does it again. A stunningly original short.

A charming conceit, and the combination of cel and CG aniimation is inspired.

It's easily the worst Pixar short. Unimpressive in pretty much every way.

Really shows what makes animation special and is a rare treat in this day and age.

The animation is stunning. Had some smiles and interesting parts. Decent short all round.

Visually clever, cute, and funny, although I do have to say that I found the radio broadcast at the end way too nail-on-the-head.

Do we really need to be forced to sit through animation tests? It's interesting conceptually, but the story was pointless and boring.

Pixar do something that is a rare art these days - tell a simple story in a way that feels fresh and hearty. This could be a review for any of their movies.

Interesting animation but totally pointless and stupid story.

Very clever use of the 3D presentation.

It's a lot of fun to look at the animation because it's experimental, playful and interesting. And that's about it, but it doesn't stay around long so it can't get boring either.

A really creative use of night and day effects. I loved how they would stand over a cute girl sunbathing or girls at the pool with the daytime and then the night would stand in the same place and everything would be desolate and abandoned. I also really loved the part where the two guys combined when the sun met up at the same point in the sky at dusk/dawn. Excellent graphical work and creativity. I also loved the moral that they each had cools stuff to bring to the table.

It's not Pixar's greatest short, but it's nice, and it looks cool in 3D. This one's more for the animation than the story.

I typically rank shorts a lot higher, as if you love them, you pretty much love all of it, and if you dislike it, at least it's short. This was pretty good besides the political commentary that they attempt to sneak in toward the end. Otherwise a neat idea.

This is maybe the most unconventional of the Pixar shorts too date, but I couldn't get that into it. I think I like the idea of it more than the actual short itself.

One of the best animated shorts ever

A clever idea, but only barely clever enough to carry a five minute short. The animation is pretty good, but not as impressive as we've come to expect from Pixar. There's also a strangely didactic and unnecessary message at the end.
