We were joking about the father wanting to pimp his daughter out to save humanity and then he did. The laughing both increased and stopped dead in intervals. The level of excitement that overtook us when they get out a notebook of mutant drawings of squirrels and such almost toppled us over. Not bad for it's time, really. Don't recommend for or against.

Stagy, but manages to keep things moving within its limits. Corman rarely disappoints and this is no exception.

It has the imagination of a pea, apparently in 50's world anything mutated by radiation grows a thick scaly hide and craves flesh, along with talons...can't forget the talons.

One of the first zombie stories. In "Day the World Ended" people are turned into flesh eating monsters by the atomic bomb. With only a handful of people left, they fight each other and the monsters. More than one modern film is built around this plot line. It's a low budget horror movie from the 50's, so don't expect any good effects.

A couple of decent performances and a tragically comical monster make this one worth a Sunday afternoon.

Kind of fun with a hilariously bad looking monster, this is kind of an early zombie movie based around a nuclear wasteland. It's super low budget so don't expect anything special, but it's fine for what it is and Corman gets enough out of the tiny budget.
