Deadlock

This is some type of allegory that I'm not seeing, right? Otherwise the characters are too vague and everything happens within earshot in the tiny settlement and for some reason they keep using the same gun, with a lot of dramatic personal interactions. Then there's the random nudity. Fav scene: they somehow manage to one-shot explode the salesperson's truck.

This is basically what The Good, The Bad and the Ugly would be if it was a claustrophobic, fatalist stageplay and not an epic road movie. It's not quite as overwhelming as I'm making it sound, but there is definetely some solid filmmaking in here.

Opens with some crazy editing and music but drops it until the finale - the middle parts are fine but oh baby if it kept the insane style of the opening I'd... probably have no idea what happened but it looks neat! I got parched watching this, everything is covered in dirt and dust, baby the dirt is dusty.

pretty cool but also a lil dull at times. opening was great
